I saw this 50 ball on my Twitter and Instagram feed and had to address it. A Bash Fav since ” Live at the Nook,” this offensive explosion from Columbia commit Riley Weiss doesn’t surprise me. She is one of the most talented Northeast shooting guards who scores at will. I watched during the spring and summer months. She’s 5’10” and can effortlessly convert over the defense at all 3 levels. Now she is in the Sunshine State, casually dropping numbers.
27 of the 50 coming from downtown is so impressive. It wasn’t like Weiss was getting easy layups at the rim all night. 60% of her production came from beyond the arc or the free throw line (went 3/3). I am not saying Weiss is going to put up 50 every night but expect her to stuff the stat sheet on a nightly basis.
